Industry Recognition & Involvement

With the summer season in full swing, our team is taking a moment to recap our eventful first half of 2019. We kicked off the year by being named to Expertise’s list of 14 Best PR Firms in Baltimore for the second year in a row. Expertise seeks to connect businesses with service providers that are the best-of-the-best in a given geographic area. They reviewed 167 Baltimore-based PR Firms and whittled down to the top 14 by examining each firm’s reputation, credibility, experience, availability and professionalism. LaunchTech is driven by a passion for providing both domestic and international clients with outstanding PR guidance and results, and we are honored to be recognized for our work.

To further contribute to the local cybersecurity community LaunchTech has become a member of Cybersecurity Association of Maryland, Inc. (CAMI). CAMI is dedicated to the growth of the cybersecurity industry in Maryland by providing events for companies to make connections, form partnerships, and encourage continued education. You can catch some of our team members at the Cyber Warrior Women Summer Social on August 21 at Pinot’s Palette in Columbia. When asked about the new membership, Managing Director Wayne Schepens said, “We are happy to have growing recognition as a niche PR Firm specializing in cybersecurity and high-technology in Maryland and beyond. The Baltimore-DC area has the potential to be the industry hub in the near future, so it’s an exciting time to be located here.”

A Growing & Active Team

The LaunchTech team is comprised of diversely-skilled professionals which propels our ability to support clients’ goals and benchmarks of success. As our clients have grown, we have kept pace by welcoming two new team members. Bridget Kunz and Sara Knott joined our team this past spring as our Marketing Manager and as an Account Coordinator, respectively.

Our team doesn’t stay locked away in the office, we often attend industry events such as the 2019 RSA Conference, DC Metro Cyber Security Summit and PR Summit DC. In March, a veteran team of five traveled to San Francisco to support 14 clients for a total of 85 meetings. Before large industry events, such as RSA, we line up numerous analyst briefings, podcast slots, and media interviews for our clients. We then provide them with a detailed itinerary and are on-site to support their meetings in addition to hosting media cocktail hours and dinners.
