Where are you originally from?
I was born, raised and currently live in Baltimore.
If you were invited to give a TED Talk, what would it be about?
My topic would be ‘Escapism Through Music.’ For me, and I’m sure many others, music has always been a great way to get my thoughts away from real-life problems. I find that music is way better home therapy than any video, game, movie, etc. It can really help me to just relax by listening to a good song or album during hard times.
What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?
I love finding new music, DJing and producing my own music.
If you had your own talk show, who would be the first three guests you’d like to interview?
In no particular order, I would choose Vince Carter (NBA player), Stephen Pinker (cognitive psychologist, linguist and scientific author), and Virtual Riot (one of the best EDM producers in the world right now).
Do you have a secret talent or a hobby?
I have been DJing for about five years. I’m also a former college radio play-by-play announcer (football, basketball, lacrosse, baseball, soccer, and softball).
What drew you to the field of PR and communications?
As a Communications major in college, I wanted to pursue a position where I could continue enhancing my writing skills while also knowing that the work I was doing would be directly helping someone and I believe PR is an industry that allows me to do that.
What do you find most interesting about cybersecurity or technology?
Cybersecurity has been a super interesting industry over the last five years and it is showing no signs of slowing down. Nowadays, cybersecurity is at the forefront of some of the biggest headlines (ex: a big data breach) and as technology continues to advance at a rapid pace, we are going to see cybersecurity play an enormous role in our lives, which I think is pretty cool.
