It is with great pride that we share that our SVP, Operations, Kate D. Shapiro, has been named to Technical.ly Baltimore’s inaugural RealLIST Connectors cohort. According to the original announcement, individuals were primarily selected based on the Technical.ly Baltimore team’s experience interacting with local tech leaders and supporters. This new list is a “roundup of folks working to build their local tech, entrepreneurship and innovation community by linking others with an eye toward future growth and inclusivity,” wrote Stephen Babcock, Assistant Editor of Technical.ly Baltimore.

Kate possesses over 10 years of experience in communications with an emphasis on marketing and public relations. In her career, she has engaged with 70 companies (and counting) to deliver both public relations and crisis communications support. Additionally, she has played a foundational role in helping launch 10 startups in the hi-tech industry through her corporate messaging expertise. In addition to running LaunchTech Communications’ client accounts and managing our internal team, Kate is a Cyber Advisory Board member for bwtech@UMBC Cyber Incubator, speaker at industry events, and mentor to emerging tech companies through accelerators.

RealLIST Connectors Profile:

“With a leading role at the Baltimore-based PR and marketing agency that works with many of the growing cyber companies in the region, Shapiro brings a firm that’s building brands in one of the state’s prime emerging industries, and looking to help translate tech terms for those who may not have an engineering background.”
