Social Media Manager (Baltimore, MD)

About the Role

Seeking an experienced B2B social media manager with an existing portfolio of work that reflects their ability to manage the full spectrum of social media planning from strategy to content creation to metrics analysis and reporting. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage the organic social media strategy, content creation, profile management and weekly engagement of 4-6 clients simultaneously  
  • Utilize Sprout Social to report on key metrics on a predetermined basis with each client (ex: weekly, monthly, quarterly)
  • Capable of staying abreast of social media trends and changes (algorithm updates, engaging content, etc.) to bring new, creative ideas to the table
  • Liaise with clients via email, phone and video calls to present social media plans, recommendations for improvement and respond to questions
  • Ability to quickly and effectively communicate with account team members via phone, Slack etc. to collaborate on social media needs and integrate PR initiatives
  • Mentor junior team members on proper social media content management, provide constructive feedback on post drafts and provide guidance on best practices

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of B2B social media marketing experience, specifically with Twitter and LinkedIn (agency experience highly preferred) 
  • Familiarity with the technology and cybersecurity industry (highly preferred)
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills. We work with emerging tech companies so the ability to pivot quickly without skipping a beat is a must
  • Experience using Sprout Social or similar social media scheduling tools
  • Demonstrable experience designing graphics for social posts using tools such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop
  • Comfortable using other basic office technology and tools such as a MacBook Pro, Google Suite (including Google Meet), Microsoft Office, Asana and Slack
  • Ability to drive recommendations to clients with confidence (with the support of an Account Director as needed) 
  • Experience running paid social media campaigns is a plus
